چکیده

As computing-intensive mobile applications become increasingly diversified, devices’ computing power is hard to keep up with demand. Mobile devices migrate tasks the Edge Computing (MEC) platform and improve performance of task processing through reasonable allocation caching resources on platform. Small cellular networks (SCN) have excellent short-distance communication capabilities, combination MEC SCN a promising research direction. This paper focuses minimizing energy consumption for migration in small proposes optimization strategy resource by combining optimal stopping theory decision-making. Firstly, process device finding required formulated as problem. Secondly, we prove an rule’s existence, obtain threshold, compare it consumption. Finally, best selected task. In simulation experiment, has lower average higher data execution efficiency distance efficiency, which improves 10% ∼ 60%.

Joint Service Caching and Task Offloading for Mobile Edge Computing in Dense Networks

Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) pushes computing functionalities away from the centralized cloud to the network edge, thereby meeting the latency requirements of many emerging mobile applications and saving backhaul network bandwidth. Although many existing works have studied computation offloading policies, service caching is an equally, if not more important, design topic of MEC, yet receives muc...
